Since I can't cover the whole season...I'm going to skip the the Fashion Week Show!!! Its been a while since we last saw all the designers, and now only 4 are left standing. The winner of Project Runway will receive a spread in Elle Mag. a $100,000 contract with Elle Mag. to start their own line, and a chance to sell their line on bluefily.com. Each designer makes it back to Parson's in NYC. The next day they are sent to casting for the models. Each designer castes their choice models. Back at the work room, fitting begin. each designer works through the night to get the right outfit with the right model. The nest week is getting ready for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Show. Its Show Time People. The morning of the show, the designers arrive at The Lincoln Center. Crazy. Backstage is a mess of models, producers, and of course the designers and their assistants. Tim and Hedi show up and hug and congratulate each designer for making it this far. The show starts and the collections are "Fierce" as Christian, winner of 4 described it. After the show is over, the designers can do nothing more, but wait. The judges say what they liked about each collection and the choice outfit the designers choose as their favorite. After a long talk the judges decide that Anya is the winner. Her family comes out and the model that Anya choose to be "her model" during the season wins a spread in Elle mag. I think this season was amazing and I can't wait to see the next season!!!
Supper early in the morning and the designers arrive to a track in HUGE red sweatshirts and running pants. Hedi and Tim tell they all have to run once around the track and the top four runners will be the team captains. Each look will have to go with sneakers Hedi designed. The 4 team captains choose their teams, and the competition begins. They teams have 30 minutes to sketch before going to mood to get the fabric they need. They all go back to Parson's. Tensions rise as some of the team members don't like the captains. Things look shaky. Designers question if they will be able to complete each look. Tim comes in and it doesn't look good. Tim comments on each group and tries to offer good advice, not sure if anything will help at this point. It's Runway Dayyyy!!!!!!!! The models are sent to hair and make up, while some on the designers finish up last minute issues. The show is not as impressive as the past weeks have been, but each designer managed to get all the looks out and finished on the runway. Judging is harsh as always. One is sent home. And Then There Were 8.

Nina's Way or the Highway

In this episode they focused squarely on designing wearable, chic fashion. But the designers had to do this for judge Nina Garcia, she of the baleful gaze and knife-in-the-ribs commentary when a designer's creation fails to meet with her approval. Frau Klum informs the designers they must come up with that old reliable, a day-into-evening look for their client -- and out comes Nina. We don't actually hear a crescendo of horror-movie music, but we might as well have. Her Demandingness launches into a list of what she will and wear not wear. Yes to streamlined silhouettes and neutral shades, no to voluminous anything, pleats, prints and anything too colorful. The winner of this challenge gets bragging rights, and the design will be featured in ads placed on top of New York City cabs. Well, that's visibility, anyway, if not exactly the ultimate in class. Tim Gunn tells everybody they have 30 minutes to sketch and then one-on-one consults with Nina. People stream toward the exits, only to find they're locked. After getting what they need at Mood, they start to designer their looks. After everything is done, they head back to Atlas. The next day is Runway Day. Each designer shows their looks and the judges comment on it. One designer is booted. What is going to happe Next?

Go Big or Go home.

Its now the third week and there are getting to be fewer designers each week. 2 have b een sent home and that mean that there are 10 left. This weeks the designers are told they will go on a field trip to get their next challenge. They arrive at a circus tent, and the hopes and ideas are flying out of the designer's minds. But they are all incorrect. This week they must pair up and design a outfit for stilt walkers. WOW. The 10 remaining designers are at a wits end with this challenge. Most aren't happy about being paired up with each other, and to top it off the model fittings are a HOT MESS!!1 Tim comes in to help with his "Make it Work"s and "Get It Done". Each designer is about to "throw in the towel." The next day is Runway Day. The designers...not so happy about it. With only 4 hours to finish their projects, each designer is going crazy. Runway comes along and some how each designer manged to finish their garments. Hedi looks unhappy as always, but this week, something tells me she isn't wowed. The judges critic, and one designer is sent home. 9 Left...Who will be next.

Get Unleashed.

In episode 2, Heidi tells the designers they are going to help unleash their creativity. Which they think means whips and chains. But, no, it’s pet carriers and cute doggie clothes!! Hedi tells them they have until midnight that night and all day tomorrow. They have $300 and 30 minutes to get all the things they need to create this weeks look. All the designers rush to collect the things they need. Back at the workroom at Parson's, all the designers look over what the grabbed in the 30 minutes at the pet store. They begin to sketch their looks, and every designer is lost for ideas. So far their creativity isn't flowing. Tim comes to offer his advice on each of the looks, and it's not looking to good by now. Each designer works long and hard until they must stop for that day. They nest day, each designer finishes their look and isn't as happy, but they are fine with their work. Its Runway day,and all the designers are excited to see what their looks will look like on the runway. Hedi and all the judges score the looks, and one designer is sent home. As that designer goes to clean up their work space, all the fellow designers are more then happy to be safe...For this week.

Project Runway 2011 Recaps!!!

In the season opener, Hedi and Tim, the shows hosts, tell the 20 designers that 4 will be sent home that night. Unlike past seasons, the 4 judges sit behind a table. Very American Idol style. The designers must make their case on why they should stay on the show. After the 16 remaining designers are announced, they toast to making it on the show. The sweet 16 then move into their digs at the Atlas Apartments, in Manhattan's Fashion District. Everyone is told to stay dressed in their PJ's, and grab one sheet. They head out and start marching through Manhattan until they reach Parsons the New School for Design. From there they are giving their challenge, the 16 designers must create a look form their pajamas and a bed sheet. But they do get to use dye, if they want, and some buttons and things. They've got until 10 p.m. to come up with a creation. They next day is Runway Day!!! After all the clothes have been shown, the judges say what they liked and what they didn't like. Each designer is called and told if they are "In or Out". When 2 designers are left, Hedi says who is out. Like Hedi and Tim would say "Like in fashion, One day you are in and the next day you are out., and for these 16 designers, Project Runway is a chance of a Lifetime."
